Book Report: The Lightning Thief.

Hello my name is Samanu. I am going to write a book report about the lightning Thief. It's about a boy named Percy, who is the child of the greek god Posiedon. He goes to to a summer camp called Camp Half-Blood for other kids just like him. It keeps monsters out because a half-blood (demigod) sacfirced herself on a hill because a army of Greek monsters was trying to kill her so her friend's could escape. Zeus turned her into a pinecone tree to preserve her but monsters can't get past it. Sorry I kinda got ahead. The author who wrote this book is named Rick Riordarn. He published it in 2005. I chose this book because mom got this book for us. Its about aboy who bonds with his friends and has to rescue Zeus's lightning bolt before it causes a the biggest war ever.
One of the most importent things in the plot was he had to consult the oracle before he went on his quest and it said that he would face the god who had turned away. Now the god who had betrayed the other gods. was Ares the god of war. He beat him and got the lightning bolt back. He also got another thing. Hade's helm whic

Berries

Berries are a type of fruit. They are used in all sorts of ways. I will explain how to use berries and talk about what types there are. I havn't tasted all of them.
Blueberry has some sweet sour taste to it. I really like how they taste. I like it if they are mashed. I think they taste good mashed.
Strawberries. I think we are going to have strawberrys this year. My strawberries, I think are going to be the first one done to give. I like strawberries. The problem is that the squrrils come and take them before we do.
Here are some stuff you can do with them.
Make milkshakes. I like that idea. I love milkshakes. I'm not joking. I will do any thing to get it, For example, we went in this restrant and told mom to get it from my bank account.
That is how serious I am.
Make jam if you have enough, then you can propaly make about alot.
You can put it inside your saled. They go pretty good with saleds. Another heatly choice.

What plants we got this year.

We planned a garden this year, again. My plant from last year is growing. Here are some of the things we planted this year.
Latana is the plant I boght this year. When I first got mom said she couldn't smell it, but then she could. It smells like orange juice. It said that it attracted butterflys. Taua saw one.
Jalapenos we planted yet again. I don't know if they are going to give more of less. Probaly more.
Tomatos. They were the first vegatable that was fresh. Thats what I like about them.
Well I hope you have a fun time planting your garden. I hope my flower doesn't die.

Fossils.

There are a ton of fossils. Onetime, my brother found one near my dad's office when we were looking around dad's office. No joke. I think it was a leaf. Anyway here are some fossils that you might find when you are lucky enogh to find one.
Trobites are one. They are pretty old bugs. Propaly dating back where dinosaurs lived. These are one of the common fossils around.
Moths. Thats right. Moth fossils are usually in tree sap. Scenietist think they get on a tree and sap would cover them.
Well here are some of them. You could look for fossils around your neighborhood. Wish you good luck. I think it was luck because taua was about to throw it and it would be gone by now.

Romeo and Juliet.

Shakespeare wrote many great plays and books. Dad wanted us to read Romeo and Juliet. Then after we were done he told us to write a five-page essay on it.
When two servants of Montague's and Capulet's meet, they start fighting. Sorry if I was rude not introducing the households. Their name's are the Montagues and Capulets. They hold a grudge against each other. Benvolio from the Montagues, Faces against Tybalt from the Capulets. The citzens start getting clubs and tell them to stop it or they will put a to it. The prince comes and warns them if they fight again then all of them will be hanged. Romeo is sad and Benvolio figures out that he is in love.
Well, heres the story so far. I also learned new words like coz, which means cousin.

Summer is coming.

Summer is finally coming. Summer is fun. But it also means that its going to be hot. I don't understand why. I want to be warm during the winter, then in the summer I want to be cold. Anyway here are some of the good things and bad things during summer.
The good things are that animals come out. There's noththing more fun then having a picnic with animals. Summer is also when plants grow and produce food, fruits blossam, animals give birth, and profits increase.
The bad news. Allergies start to bulid up, so good luck with headaches, runny noses, and tons of other stuff. Bees and wasps start coming out too. So bee warned if you have a wild bee hive near your house, be carful and stay away if you are allergic to them.

My favorite candies.

Candy is a sweet joy. They are different people who love different types of candy. Like sour types. Here is my favorite candies.
Lolipops are one of my favorites. I like cotton candy flavor. The brand dum-dum is my favorite brand. They have coca-cola flavor too. I thike ink they are good. Please try some. I sure you will like it.
Gummy bears. I love their fruity flavors. They got watermelon flavor which is my favorite flavor. Many people like gummy bears. Because they taste good like other candy does. This is not my favorite candy, but I miss it. I havn't had it in a long time.

What was my sisters birthday like.

We had my sisters birthday in Ohio. It was at auntie's house. This is what we did when it was Rosina's Birthday.
Mom went to the bakery and orderd a cake. Rosina wanted strawberry cake but they didn't have that flavor, so mom got vanilla with stuffing. It was a barbie cake, but it was good. We also had strawberry Ice cream and Rocky Road.
The birthday gifts were okay. Taua got Rosina a Kite. Philup got her a dart gun that is powered by air. I got Rosina a Bubble gun and a BK crown. Just joking. I got her a princess crown.
I hope Rosina had a good birthday. Anyway goodbye.

Stuff I like doing.

Many people liked diffrent stuff. Like reading a book or playing your favorite sport. Here are the things I like doing.
Playing video games is one of them. The console my family has is a Xbox 360. I might get xbox live someday. I like playing Halo 3. I don't play on easy or normal but legendary and heroric.
I like eating. I also like eating good food. Luckily, Chigago gots good food.
Reading books is one of them. We are supossed to read classic books. They are interesting and cool. I am reading Edger Allen Poe. It is scary. He is good writter.
Anyway, have fun doing the things you do best at and have fun at.

Food I bake.

I like baking. My mom taught me. Some of these, are simple. My cooking isn't the best. Here are some of the food I cook.
French toast is good. When Auntie Dory came, she added cocount milk to it. It tasted rich. My ingredients are simple, milk,eggs,vanilla,and cinnamon. You might add some otter stuff to it as well. We cooked some today, about one loaf. That was enongh to feed the entire family. I might add some more ingredeints someday. You should make if you havn't made it, It is good.
Scrambeled eggs are good. I like it. But not the other types of eggs. I was thinking maybe I should add tomatos and potatos. I bet it would taste good.

Things me and my family are doing this year.

Here are some of the stuff me and my family are going to do this year.
My dad is a accountant. He is soon going to get his own practice. Right now it is busy season, so he is working hard now. I hope he gets his new practice.
My family is going to mom's family reunion, we going to mottanah after the reunion. That is where some of dad's family is.
Taua and me want to buy starcraft 2 when it comes out and halo wars too. I am soon going to be in 7th grade. I can't wait to be in eighth grade.
Well that's some of the things me and my family are going to do this year.

Animals that are cool.

Animals can be cool. Pets can be fun too and you can devolep a relationship with your pet. Here are some facts about animals and stuff about animals.
Dogs can be cool. They can also help police by tracing people down. Dalmations also help lead people safely out of fires. They have 2x better eyesight then we do. We have a family dog named Ikaika. He is still a puppy and chews on things. Mom's shoes are missing.
Eagles are cool birds. They can pick up something the size of a puppy. Our state's bird is the Bald Eagle. I want to be a bird traner because I like birds. I want to get a pet bird someday.
Anyway, here is some of the ceartures here. Well have a nice day doing whatever you are doing.

Flowers

Flowers are romantic and everybody knows that. Here are some common types of flowers.
Roses are great for valintine's day and dates. I think pink roses are great for decorating. If you put roses in a romantic spot it will look great.
Bluebells look like Bluebells. I think they are cool and cute. They look good for for putting inside a certain bathroom window. I want to to buy at least one or two.
Tulips are good. Almost good for everything. Anyway, I know little about these, so search them up on google or something.
These are my knowledge about flowers. I hope my information has helped you. Good luck finding a perfect flower.

Desserts me and my famliy make.

Desserts are really fun to make when doing it. Here are some of my family's favorite desserts.
Hot Milk spongecake is so good. It is so soft and creamy you can't resist. It is good with vanilla or cream cheese frosting. The cake is kinda small soit is ideal to make two for a party.
Sugur cookies are great with or without frosting. This are great for Christmas You can make almost any design.
Oatmeal cookies are my favorite cookie. I like tasting the oats and that sweet taste. I added a teaspoon of cinnammon. I did not want to add ground cloves. The ground cloves smelled so bad.

How the Holy Ghost works.

Of course, some of you may hate me because I am mormon. You get the Holy Ghost when you are eight. I'll explain some of the ordinaces. Please listhin and you feel the sprit with you.
You get the Holy Ghost when you are eight. Children under eight are sinless because they do not know what they are doing. When you turn eight, you get baptized. They are clean and know right from wrong. They are giving the sprit by the preisthood. The holy ghost knows what is right and wrong. For example, if you were at a sleep over, and there is bad movie, you will get this feeling not to watch it. Good bye.

Ideas for collecting.

Collecting can be a hobby. All you have to do is start one. You can collect almost anything. Including something that is pointless. Here are some of these things you can collect
Shells are eaisy to collect if you have a area that has shells. It is really hard if you do not live where a beach is, or near a beach. I collect shells. One time, I found this rare shell. I lost it in Hawaii. I hope to find many more rare shells.
Remember in one of my post, where I talked about warhammer. You can paint and collect a ton of minatures and play the game. I am just getting started. I am going to get somemore as soon as possible.
There's a ton of things to collect. Like stamps and coupons that have experied. Which is pointless. Go out there and collect.

Movies I like to watch.

Here are some of the movies I like to watch. These movies are funny or something else.
The pink pather is hilarous. I do not even know what is my favorite funny part. I like the part where he is trying to learn better english. This movie is about a dective trying to solve the case of the missing pink diamond. He his french and I think he is good in his acting. He has a partner. I forgot what his patners name was. It incledes some cast. I give five stars for this movie. Anybody who hasn't seen this movie go and see it. My mom and dad were laughing at the movie.
Movies are fun to go to and see them. Just as a remeinder do not see too many. By the way Read books too. A lot.

Pests that are common and uncomman.

Pests are usaully pesky.They sometimes destroy your crops. Some of them, I do not think are pest, some of them anyway. These are some of these pest anyway.
Rabbits are pest to farmers but I would get them out of harms way if possibal. I would rather take them to a safe place instead of killing them. They are pest because they dig holes and the cows fall into it and break some bones. (Ouch!) They usually hunt them.
I hate ants. They eat off of the floor. I like killing these bugs with my bare hands. I have to be careful when there is a lot of them, because they will run away. I have to sweep the floor clean before they come. They keep coming in our house. They are active in the summer and spring.
Pests are a little bit pesky. They are many ways to get rid of them. You kill ants by killing the hive.

What my day is usually like.

Our days are sometimes boring and fun sometimes. These are what some of my days are like.
We get up early sometimes and do our stuff. Our first thing we are supposed to do is change our clothes and brush our teeth. Then we say family prayer, Its when we say prayer together and do our articles of faith. We read our scriptures for 30 minutes.
Math is a little bit boring, but we get a computer for a math teacher and you can rewind it in case you missed something. Then we do the problems in the book. Mental is when you have to do it in your head. Lesson Practice does the problem you did in your lesson. Mixed Practice problems are mixed lesson problems. We do a test after ten lessons. The math is called Saxon. We also write essays and post them on our blog.

What was my brothers birthday like and the celebration.

It was my brother's birthday. Phillup was the one who had the birthday. His birthday was on the 13th in Feb. We did celebrate his birthday but on a differtnt day because dad was not going to be there. On the 13th, we got some stuff for him but not gifts, breakfast for him. He blew out a candle on a cupcake.
On the day we were celebrating, Mom went to the store to buy him gifts. She also got food. We cleaned the house while my mom was gone. My favorite chore is washing the dishes. I used to hate it. When it was starting to get dark, mom made dinner. We got out the cake and ice cream. We ate the cake and the ice cream. He opened his gifts and liked them very much. We played xbox. We went to bed after we were done.

Things I will do when I grow up.

When I grow up. I am going to do many things when I grow up. Here are the things I will do.
When I turn 19 I will go on a mission and preach to those who don't know the gospel and baptize them. I have a bank account. Some of the money is put into a savings bond for my mission.
When I come home I'm going to marry and get sealed to the temple.
I want to make video games. I don't know which company I will work for when I grow up but the pay has to be at least good to feed a family.
When I have my grandchildren, I don't know what I will do.Maybe I will spend the rest of my days with my family and retire from my job, Spend the rest of my days in peace.

Warhammer

Warhammer is a game me and my brother play. I like playing the game as I said in my last post. I paint the figures for the game because it is supposed to be a hobby. I like playing the game because you can blast the oppenents army to pieces. These is a game that has fantasy faces like dwarfs and High elves.
The race that my brother plays is the Orcs and Goblins. Gobbos tend to run away a lot but Orcs are more warlike and brutal. My brother dosn't have any Orcs yet but he will soon will have some. The Goblins can have a ton of numbers and he has one extra unit than me and it gives him a advantage. My dwarfs tend to be slow so the goblins will sometimes out flank them. Things I like to do.

I like to play games. My favorite games are Risk and Muchkin. Muchkin is where you go up levels and slay monsters as you do. Risk is a conquest game to take over the whole world. It takes a long time for a game.
I like playing video games. My favorite game is Halo 3. I like playing baseball. I like to go on a vacation because it is pretty cool to go to places once in a while. I like to go play with my cousins. I like playing a game called warhammer, it is where you figures and play with them. I am still advancing on my painting skills, ''Practice makes perfect.'' whoever made that prase anyway. These are the things I like to do.

Things I hate and like about school.

School is okay but some things I really hate is you have to write some stuff. I like history a lot. I think it is importent to know your country's hitory. I like history because it is fascinating. Some of the subjects I will explain what I like and do not like to do in school.
Things I do not like doing in school are math and writing. I do like some parts of math. I am homeschool, so I just do my stuff at home. I do not like writing sometimes. It is sometimes too long.
History is one of my favorites. I love learning about new things that I think are cool. History is pretty cool when you keep learning new things. I think history is importent.

Basic Programming.

Basic has a rocky history. The first Basic program was created in 1964. It was created to teach the basics of programming. The name was a acroyn that stood for Begginner's All-Purpose Instruction Code. I didn't understand what it meant at first, now I do. In the 70's, two people named Bill Gates and Paul Allen got involved and worked in MITS to develop a version of basic for the Altair pc. DOS it was called, it can be execute in two ways, intercepted or compiled. Microsoft made Quickbasic as the next step of basic. It was okay. But it was too slow in Comparison to the professional languages on the market. Quickbasic was combined with with and became known as the next step.

Animals that are common and uncommon in your yard.

There are some animals that you usually see everyday. Some of them you might see sometimes,sometimes not. I will explain some of the animals that are common and uncommon in your yard.
Squirrels are the ones you see everyday but there are other species of squirrels that you might not see.
I can't tell if a rabbit is common or uncommon. This little critter breeds fast, so if you keep two of them in your yard and they mate, then you could have a ton of cute little rabbits in your yard. Their hair also grow fast sometimes and their teeth too. I like rabbits.

What you can do with Chocolate.

Chocolate is pretty good and sometimes it can be used for a lot of stuff like covering candy in chocolate and you get a big tasty surprise. I will explain it is used.
Hawaii sells a chocolate treat. They gather Macadamia Nuts and dip them in chocolate. It is pretty good. I have tasted it before. It feels like, when you get munching on something but it is also very hard. Remember that this is only sold in Hawaii.
Cherries covered in chocolate are not one of my favorites. I do not like cherries because they leave a sweet bitter taste on your tounge. So I wouldn't choose Chocolate covered Cherries if I were you. Now goodbye.

Snacks that I ate in hawii.

Snacks in Hawaii are good. They're very different from the snacks we usually eat. Some of them are sour and sweet at the same time. Now I will try to describe some of the snacks they have in Hawaii.
Li hing strawberry sour belts are pretty good. They are sour but sweet at the same time. They came in packs with alot of them. My mom bought some sometimes.
Shredded soft Ika is great for those who love seafood. It's like fish only that it is dry,not like fish you bake in the oven.You can usually find it almost any where in Hawaii.
Those are some of the snacks that sell.Some people like the snacks.

Faumous Tourist Attractions.

Some of the most famous tourist attractions is the food in Paris. Many people like to go to a buliding that is ancient. Like the Great Wall of China. Here I will explain tourist attractions from all around the world.
Chigago is a good place to visit because it has good food and the Sears Tower. It is one of the tallest bulidings on earth. There are many places to visit like the Art Muesum of Chigago.
China is probaly a good place to visit. There is a ton of rice over there. The Great Wall of China with stood many assualts but some of it has not survived today. Some of it is in ruins. It is said that you can see the Great Wall of China from the moon.

Charles darwin's voyage of the Beagle.

I think Charles Darwin is a great scientist. Probably one of the greatest scientist of all time. He was pretty smart too. I don't believe his theory how we evolved. But if we prove him wrong, there is still a lot of truth in his theory. We still evolve, because we learn more and more over the years. Many people believe in his theory.
Now here is the voyage of the HMS Beagle. It is a book about one of his journeys. It starts in South America. The ship they are riding on is the Beagle. A ship that is under the command of captain Fritz Roy. They're supposed to survey Chile, Peru, and other Islands. He visits Porto Praya in St. Jago. In this town it has not rained for a entire year. There is scarcely a green leaf in the town. One day he and two officers went Riberia Grande, a town eastward from Porto Praya. It was a better town than Porto Praya. It had better water supplies and had more vegetation. Charles was suprised to see a grave from the sixteenth century. They soon returned to their inn. Before they left Riberia Grande, they visited the church. It was fine and it had a small organ. They gave the black priest a few shillings.
This is the beginning of Charle Darwin's great voyage that helped lead to the theory of evolution.

Some things you should know about my dog Ikaika.

My dog Ikaika, is sometimes trouble. He will chew up dolls. Onetime we weren't looking and he chewed my sister's doll and we threw it away in the garbage of course.
We do not know what kind of breed he is. The color of his fur is brown, with a little white. His eyes are brown. Sometimes his ear sticks up and down. He also acts like a cat. It is weird. If you let him go outside without a leash then he goes crazy and runs. Since mom left to Hawaii things have been bitter for Ikaika. He has been cooped up for a very long time.
He is not active in the night. He is active during the daytime.

Hello, haven't posted in a long time. Anyway I had a pretty good new. We played only one game because it was almost new years day. I rented a game and played it, oh and it was tranformers the game. I am planning to buy it. We played halo 3 on xbox360. Watched a movie. We made our calander airplane. (you do one every day.) It was sweet. Better than your origanal paper airplane. Anyway gotta go play my game with my brother.
